I have been working with X-10 Parts for over 25 years and I believe I have probably installed more X-10 Parts than any other electrician around.
I have learned that X-10 Parts work differently in many homes and not every install is alike.
I have made this site to give people an idea of how to check to see if their x-10 is working properly or the major causes of problems.
X-10 has been the standard for Home Automation for 30 years.
My opinions of X-10 Parts are just that, an independent opinion, and do not reflect what the engineers or manufacture or anyone else think about the product. Please keep in mind my opinions, are from installing thousands of X-10 Parts and seeing how they react to different enviornments and installations.
I enjoy working with X-10 and find it very easy to solve X-10 issues that many may have.
However this is not done over the phone. This is done in person at the location of installation.
I offer an X-10 training course to people who want to learn about X-10 Parts in Palm Springs CA yearly. This course is for X-10 Home Automation, finding and fixing problems, and some products that work with it. I prefer to train electricians, or those who have reasonable knowledge of X-10 and working with electrical.
